Art versus science

I had to fight for art in a family where science and maths reign supreme. I won for the very reason that I employed a philosophical framework that demonstrates you need not choose. We cannot splinter into squabbles of art versus science, or versus sports for that matter. I find such arguments counter-intuitive when among the more active participants in our society, we should seek a solidarity that emphasises humanity and human progress. If, like me, you like to see things come together and you’re excited by dynamic people with vision then you can look to the arts, science and sport to find examples that best represent hope for the world and our future.
